Harry Potter
I'm a Harry Potter fan, so I created this page in part for me, but also for anyone who'd like a list of HP-related pages that may be interesting to them.
I've hoped to host a Harry Potter party for a couple of years. Unfortunately we had to cancel this year's party, but I plan to try again for next year. In hopes that my prep work will not be wasted and for anyone interested in hosting a Harry Potter-esque party, I've listed some recipes below and other ideas I had along the way.
After the recipes, there's a list of links for the books narrated by Jim Dale and Stephen Fry, plus podcasts, crafts, and a random cool link. Enjoy!
As a note: I didn't list Harry Potter fan sites (such as The Leaky Cauldron) because I don't usually visit, but if there is something that I'm missing, send me an e-mail.
Foods
- Butter beer
- Cornish Pasty — for something savory (I believe pasties are the forerunner to hot pockets.)
- Pumpkin Pasty — kind of like a pumpkin pie hot pocket
- Edible wands
- For cauldron cakes, I thought I could use our favorite brownie mix (Betty Crocker's cookie brownies) and put the mix in a mini cupcake pan, using the cookie part as the "cauldron frothing over."
- Mint humbugs — like the ones at the very first start of term banquet Harry attends
- Sherbet lemon — on of Dumbledore's favorites
- The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook: From Cauldron Cakes to Knickerbocker Glory—More Than 150 Magical Recipes for Muggles and Wizards I haven't seen it, but I'd love to have it and use it for all kinds of HP recipes.
Audiobooks
Jim Dale narratored the U.S. versions of the books and Stephen Fry narratored the British versions. I like Dale's recordings, but I LOVE Fry's. I hope y'all enjoy the books for yet another great reason. :)

- The Sorcerer's Stone: Parts 40, 41, and 45 are missing, I have no idea why and I wasn't able to find those parts in someone else's account. The person who posted the videos may have had a technical error, or missed it when uploading the videos.

Podcasts
There are a couple of Harry Potter related podcasts that I've enjoyed over the years. One is like a college course, another is two friends sharing their favorite bits while reading the series, and another by a husband and wife. I'm not sure if any are still updated, but I know for certain that "Wizarding Wireless" is finished. Regardless all are great, I hope you enjoy the podcasts too!

Crafts
- Hogwarts Crest pattern
- Charmed Knits: I have this at home and made one of the scarves.
- I made my own snitch necklace. I wanted something that was made with sterling silver and gold findings.
- Paper flowers made from the books, placed in a cauldron.
